| Why no clutch on corded drills? |
| message from Bruce Peary Solomon on 1999/12/06 |
Why is it that only cordless drills have a clutch? I use a corded drill
for driving screws, and for removing/installing lug nuts when I rotate the
tires on my three vehicles. I'd sure like to drive the lug nuts all the
way on, without the drill jerking my wrists when I misjudge the stop.
(And yes, I know the torque settings on a drill are inaccurate -- I use a
torque wrench for the final tightening.)

You just have the wrong one. I've used Milwaukee's that have the clutch
and currently own a B&D that has a clutch.
