wet belt sanders (by Gary on 10 Sep 2000, 5 replies)
Hi..... I'm looking for some feedback on wet belt sanders. Unfortunately
money is an object, and I'm looking at the Covington 3"x24" model, which
appears to be a "no frills starter" machine. Anyone have any experience with
their products or maybe suggest another source? I haven't really seen much
out there....... thanks for any input. This group has been a great source of
info for me and I certainly appreciate it. ... (more)

The ones I have seen are all air tools. I have heard that one exists but
can't seem to find it.

I have also heard of an adaptor to fit a 4 1/2" grinder that would convert
it to a mini belt sander. Any ideas?

debating belt sanders (by william kossack on 30 May 2005, 9 replies)
I've been doing some small joinery projects ie dovetail boxes and box
joint boxes. In order to not undersize the pins and tails I cut them
just a little longer than needed and then sand them down flush with each
side of the box.

I've been using my hand held 3x21 belt sander to sand but even with a
light touch I tend to round the sides unevenly. ... (more)
