11.15pm Film: Psycho (1998, 15)
Director Gus Van Sant got quite a reaction when he announced he would follow up the huge success of Good Will Hunting with this scene-by-scene remake of the classic Sixties chiller. Hitchcock fans had their worst fears confirmed when it was released — it is nowhere near as good as the original, with the cast unable to hold their own and the whole affair curiously lacking in atmosphere. Vince Vaughn attempts to recreate Anthony Perkins' unforgettable performance as disturbed motel owner Norman Bates, whose curious relationship with his domineering mother leads to murder. Anne Heche revisits the ill-fated shower scene immortalised by Janet Leigh in the original, while Julianne Moore, Viggo Mortensen and William H Macy offer support.

The London Grand Prix. Steve Cram presents live coverage of the biggest meeting in the British athletics calendar at the Crystal Palace stadium. An impressive field will be in attendance, with the likes of world 100m champion Kim Collins looking to capture a psychological advantage over his sprint rivals ahead of the Olympic Games in two weeks' time. Last year there were four British winners for the crowd to cheer, and among the hopefuls this time is javelin star Steve Backley, who'll be eager to throw well in what is expected to be his last-ever competition on home soil. Commentary by Stuart Storey, Brendan Foster, Paul Dickenson and Jonathan Edwards, with reports and analysis from Sally Gunnell, Michael Johnson and Colin Jackson.

Computer-generated whistle-stop tour of the solar system, following the route taken by the Voyager spacecraft whose unique mission to capture images of the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune began in 1977 and, having left them far behind, will continue for another 20 years.

The story of Vivian Stanshall, the writer, composer, musician, satirist and painter who achieved success in the 1960s as a founder member of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. Following his departure from the group, he embarked on more surreal enterprises, from comic opera Stinkfoot to the film Sir Henry at Rawlinson End, before dying in a house fire in 1995. Featuring contributions from John Peel, Stephen Fry, Jack Bruce and Neil Innes.

Sunita receives encouraging news from the hospital and immediately returns to work, determined to live her life as normally as possible. Katy finally succeeds in getting back with Martin, and Harry fears his role as Underworld's resident sanitary technician is about to be scrubbed out, while Fred sees Ciaran kissing Penny and gleefully surmises she is doing the dirty on Mike.

In 1935, games company boss Victor Watson and his secretary Marjorie Philips set out on a search for the streets and sites that were to make up the Monopoly board. In this new series, author Tim Moore follows in their footsteps, looking at the history of the places they chose, discovering what they were like in the 1930s and how they have changed since then.

The chattering classes find they've really got something to talk about when a local society beauty is found dead following a series of threats against her, and police investigations uncover a dark underbelly of adultery and deceit in affluent Midsomer Malham. Sarah Heaney presents the final episode of the documentary series following the country's police forces as they respond to emergencies and continue the fight against crime.
11.35pm Film: In the Name of the Father (1993, 15) (on DVD)
Jim Sheridan's controversial but impassioned Oscar-nominated drama adapted from the autobiography of Guildford Four member Gerry Conlon, chronicling his tireless efforts to overturn a life sentence imposed for his alleged involvement with the IRA. Daniel Day-Lewis (who also worked with Sheridan on the Academy Award-winning My Left Foot) gives, as ever, an incredibly powerful, tormented performance, and the wonderful supporting cast includes an emotional Pete Postlethwaite, plus Emma Thompson and John Lynch. A definite must-see.

Dermot O'Leary presents his usual round-up, including a preview of tonight's eviction. With no nominations this week, all six housemates' families and friends will be in the studio anticipating the results of the public vote, and Davina McCall will have had to prepare interviews for each of the remaining contestants.

Jake tries desperately to intervene as Ben confronts Tony, demanding proof that Mandy's safe and well, while Craig foolishly acts the big shot in front of Lee, making outrageous claims about his relationship with Natalie. Of course, she soon gets wind of his rash remarks and takes steps to deal with the situation. Mr Hunter reaches for the bottle as his home life deteriorates, prompting his long-suffering wife to issue a devastating ultimatum.

A woman seeking a divorce from her violent husband tries desperately to avoid becoming the victim of a hit-man he's hired to ensure his reputation isn't dragged into disrepute. This thriller could have been gripping given better performers in the lead roles but, sadly, it never manages to get beyond passable. Cheryl Ladd, Jameson Parker, GW Bailey, Keone Young and Hope Lange star.
